Lead for the Community Infant Feeding Team and Breastfeeding Strategy, Bradford District, Children’s Services

Jane is leading the strategic direction for a collaborative approach to infant feeding and embedding Ready to Relate as a core component of infant feeding and relationship building; leading the Community Infant Feeding Team service provision in line with Public Health priorities and UNICEF Baby Friendly standards.
This work includes the implementation of the Bradford District Breastfeeding Strategy.
Jane oversees service delivery of targeted breastfeeding support for mothers and babies in 8 identified wards with low breastfeeding rates at 6-8 weeks. She also manages the delivery of Baby Feeding Support Sessions.
Her role involves integrated working with Specialist Public Health Nursing Children’s Services team. She is the area’s UNICEF Baby Friendly lead for Specialist Community Public Health Nurses and Breastfeeding Champion model.
Jane enjoys training and upskilling practitioners working with families with babies across the district.
